Summit SH® Series lubricants are manufactured from the highest quality synthetic hydrocarbon base-stocks and advanced additive technology. SH® Series lubricants are recommended for rotary screw, centrifugal, and reciprocating compressors and offer many advantages over petroleum-based lubricants as well as some synthetics - especially where compatibility is an important concern. The SH® Series lubricants have low pour points, high viscosity indexes and excellent water demulsibility. Summit SH® Series lubricants are compatible with commonly used seal materials and equipment designed for use with petroleum oils. Summit SH® is recommended for use in the following applications:
Summit Ultima
is a high performance
lubricant formulated specifically to outperform other synthetic rotary compressor
lubricants on the market. Ultima employs a unique base stock that allows
improvements in oxidation resistance and sludge and deposit formation over conventional
synthetic base stocks. It is also compatible with existing
O.E.M. provided lubricant.
Summit DSL® synthetic lubricants are unique combinations of quality diester
base-stocks and the latest additive technology. Summit provides a wide range of DSL®
lubricants that cover applications for rotary vane, rotary screw, and all ages and
design-types of reciprocating compressors. Summit DSL® lubricants
are especially noted for the following benefits: Low temperature fluidity Better thermal conductivity Reduced friction High temperature thermal stability Greater resistance to mechanical stress Reduced metal-to-metal wear. Summit DSL® Lubricants are formulated to keep compressors free of varnish and sludge build-up while extending drain intervals to 8000 hours. Summit DSL® lubricants are compatible with almost all elastomers used in compressors and pumps including the paint used in crankcases. Summit DSL® is recommended for
use in the following applications: Centrifugal Compressors Certain rotary screw and vane compressors Low temperature lubrication High temperature lubrication Available as DSL®-32, DSL®-46, DSL®-68, DSL®-100, DSL®-125, DSL®-150
Summit Lubricant-Coolant® is formulated from the best diester base stocks available and employs state of the art additive technology to provide an outstanding lubricant and coolant. Lubricant-Coolant is an excellent lubricant for the applications listed below. Summit Lubricant-Coolant® is recommended for use in the following applications:
Summit FG Series lubricants are specially designed for rotary screw, vane and reciprocating compressors being used in the food service industry. These lubricants are approved by the USDA for H-1 application (lubricants with incidental food contact) and comply fully with the requirements of FDA 21CFR 178.3570. The FG Series lubricants are formulated from the highest quality synthesized hydrocarbon fluids available. The special additive system is blended with the synthetic base-fluid to provide extended lubricant life and to protect against wear, rust and corrosion. FG Series lubricants are extended life lubricants and have the same software compatibility as Summit SH® Series lubricants. FG-100 is designed for use in rotary screw compressors and applications requiring an ISO-32 lubricant. FG-200 is designed for use in rotary screw compressors and other applications requiring an ISO-68 lubricant. FG-300 and FG-500 are designed for use in reciprocating compressors, rotary vane compressors and other applications requiring an ISO-100 lubricant. Available as: FG-100, FG-200, FG-300, FG-500 All grades are Kosher approved.
Summit Supra®-32 and Supra® Coolant have been formulated to address the specific problems associated with conventional rotary screw compressor coolants: thermal degradation and deposit formation. The polyglycol/ester blend provide superior performance in the areas of oxidation resistance and deposit formation. Supra 32 and Supra Coolant® eliminate the varnish, sludge and frequent lubricant changes associated with hydrocarbon oils.
The Summit Sierra™ Series is formulated to provide superior lubrication performance in air compressors operating at temperatures below 200ºF. These lubricants are specifically designed to provide extended service to rotary screw air compressors operating within normal conditions. Summit Sierra™ is rated to provide superior service for 8,000 hours in most air compressor applications. Produced from the highest grade additives and base stocks available, the Summit Sierra™ Series will continue to protect air compressors from wear and deposit formation where other compressor lubricants fail. Based on lubrication technology with millions of hours of proven performance, Summit Sierra™ is supported by the Summit’s performance guarantee. Utilizing the free in-house lubrication analysis provided by Summit, professional lab technicians can track the performance of the lubricant and will determine when the lubricant needs to be changed. The Summit Sierra™ Series is compatible with most rotary screw air compressor lubricants on the market. It is not compatible with silicone or polyglycol based air compressor lubricants.
Available as: Summit Sierra™ 32, 46 and 68
Summit PS Series synthetic lubricants are a blend of synthetic and petroleum base fluids specially designed for compressor applications as well as multi-purpose applications. The PS Series is manufactured using the highest quality base stocks, additive treated with rust and corrosion inhibitors, oxidation control agents, anti-wear compounds and defoamants and is exceptional at controlling sludge and deposits. Summit PS is recommended for use in the following applications:
Available as: PS-100, PS-150, PS-200, PS-300, PS-400
Summit SBL synthetic lubricants are formulated to provide maximum lubrication protection and service for all positive displacement blowers including Roots, Gardner-Denver, Sutorbilt, Duroflow and MD. Advantages over petroleum lubricants include extended lubricant life (up to 8,000 hours with oil analysis), reduced operating temperatures, better corrosion protection, enhanced low and high temperature lubricating properties, longer blower life with reduced wear, and lower maintenance costs. The SBL synthetic lubricants exceed the specification requirements for all of the major manufacturers of positive displacement blowers and are compatible with most commonly used seal materials. In applications where food contact might occur, the Summit SBL-220F and SBL-320F meet the requirements of FDA21CFR 178.3570 and are Kosher approved. Available as: SBL-220, SBL-320, SBL-220F, SBL-320F
Summit TM Series is formulated from highly refined petroleum base stocks and the unique additive Syntholate. The refining process includes catalytic hydrogenation to remove impurities, M.E.K. solvent dewaxing to provide low pour points and vacuum distillation to assure low vapor pressure. The addition of Syntholate inhibits the formation of varnish and carbon and provides superior thermal and oxidative stability. Utilizing the superior petroleum base stocks fortified with Syntholate extends the life of the Summit TM Series compared to that of conventional mineral oils and provides the following money saving benefits:
The Summit TM Series with Syntholate pays for itself with the first lubricant change. Available as: TM-10, TM-15, TM-20, TM-30, TM-40
Summit AU-46 is a silicone-based fluid designed for use in rotary screw compressors. AU-46 does not breakdown under normal operating temperatures and pressures thereby eliminating carbon deposits, sludge and varnish formations. The system stays clean of lubricant by-products resulting in lower maintenance costs. The high viscosity index insures a minimum change in viscosity over the compressor's temperature range. AU-46 has excellent water separation, corrosion protection and lubricity characteristics.
Summit Varnasolv The use of petroleum lubricants, primarily automatic transmission fluid (ATF), in rotary screw and rotary vane compressors results in the formation of varnish and carbon. The varnish and carbon is deposited throughout the system and can cause a number of serious operational problems, resulting in excessively high maintenance costs. Summit's Varnasolv can help alleviate the problems caused by varnish and carbon. Varnasolv is designed to be used as an additive in the lubricant to remove and suspend varnish while the compressor is in operation. Using Varnasolv eliminates the need for disassembling the compressor for cleaning. For maximum benefit, use Varnasolv prior to each lubricant change.
