Summit R Series synthetic hydrocarbon refrigeration lubricants are designed to function under severe service conditions. These fluids have a very high viscosity index, contain no paraffin and are compatible with various fluorinated refrigerants, ammonia, methyl chloride and carbon dioxide. The Summit R Series are completely miscible with petroleum-based fluids. These products are USDA H-1 approved and have Kosher approval. R-100 is designed to operate in rotary compressors requiring an ISO-32 viscosity rating. R-150 is designed to operate in rotary compressors requiring an ISO-46 viscosity rating. R-200 is designed to operate in rotary screw compressors requiring an ISO-68 viscosity rating. R-300 is designed to operate in reciprocating compressors requiring an ISO-100 viscosity rating.
Summit RAB Series refrigeration oils are alkylate based and formulated for use in reciprocating, rotary, and centrifugal refrigeration compressors using ammonia, R12, R22, R114 and R502. These products are extremely stable at high compression temperatures while providing excellent low temperature properties at evaporator temperatures below -50°F. Other performance benefits include excellent solubility with refrigerants, good compatibility with construction materials, extended service life , and reduced deposit formations in high and low temperature areas. Applications: Refrigeration compressors using ammonia, R12, R22, R114, and R502 as the refrigerant. Compatible with conventional mineral oils and most construction materials including Viton®, Neoprene®, and Buna-N. Available
as: RAB-32 and RAB-68
The RHB Series is formulated from an AB-Alkylbenzene synthetic blend and designed to function under the stringent requirements of CFCs-Chlorofluorocarbon, HCFCs- Hydrochlorofluorocarbon refrigerants like R11, R12, R13, R22, R113, R114, R123, R124 R401a, R401b, R402a, R402b, R403b, R406a, R408a, R409a, R500, R502, R503; & R717 (NH3 aka ammonia) DX and liquid overfeed industrial refrigeration systems. Besides its inherent inertness, improved system efficiency and higher productivity, the performance advantages of the RHB Series versus naphthenic oils include: (1) Partial miscibility and solubility with CFCs, HCFCs and ammonia for improved oil return to the compressor; (2) Superior system cleanliness and lubricity to reduce component wear and corrosion; (3) Superior chemical and thermal stability; (4) Lower foaming tendency; and (5) Extended oil drain capability. RHB Series is well-suited for both rotary screw and reciprocating compressors in ammonia service. It is guaranteed to function with evaporators operating down to –40˚C. RHB Series is compatible with all types of seals and O-rings used in ammonia compressors including Neoprene (chloroprene), Buna-N and NBR. RHB Series is also 100% compatible with naphthenic and paraffinic mineral oils, as well as PAO and AB synthetic oils, which allows top-off over these other oils and eliminates the need for system flushes and excessive evaporator maintenance. As with all specialty lubricants, indoor storage and immediate closing of original containers after use is strongly recommended to avoid particulate and moisture. Available as: RHB- 32, RHB- 46, RHB- 68, RHB-100
Summit RHT series
are highly refined, hydrotreated ammonia compressor lubricants specially
designed to function under the stringent requirements of
closed-loop ammonia refrigeration systems.
Besides providing value-added benefits in the areas of
improved system efficiency and higher productivity, the
performance advantages of
Summit RHT series versus
naphthenic oils include:
Summit RHT series
are exceptionally well suited for rotary screw, reciprocating and rotary
vane compressors in ammonia service.
They are compatible with naphthenic and other hydrotreated
paraffinic-based compressor oils for ammonia service, as well as
PAO and alkylbenzene-based products.
They are compatible with all seal elastomers commonly used in
these systems including Buna-N, Neoprene and Fluorocarbon (Viton®).
Due to swelling, softening and rapid deterioration of Neoprene seals in
the presence of naphthenic oils, it is strongly recommended that
these seals be replaced before changing to
Summit RHT. Available as: RHT- 32, RHT- 46, RHT- 68, and RHT-100 Summit’s RPA Series is a synthesized hydrocarbon-alkylate 100% full-synthetic formulation for reciprocating, rotary, and centrifugal refrigeration compressor applications using any of several refrigerants including ammonia (R717), R12, R13, R22, R113, R114, R123, R401A, R401B, R402B, R409A, R500, R502 and R503. Summit RPA Series is not compatible with R134A and most HFCs. This product is extremely stable at higher compression temperatures while providing excellent low temperature properties at low evaporator temperatures. Performance and cost benefits include:
Available as: RPA-32, RPA-46, RPA-68, RPA-100
Summit’s RPE Series are fully synthetic lubricants designed for use in refrigeration compressors using R-134A as the refrigerant. They have excellent chemical and thermal stability as well as superior lubricity characteristics with steel and aluminum. They are also miscible with all HFCs, HCFCs, CFCs and blends. They were specifically developed for HFC refrigerants. Available as: RPE-32, RPE-46, RPE-68, RPE-100 The Summit SRO Series was developed to address the shortcomings of POE based formulations for these applications. The SRO Series is a 100% synthetic POE blend designed for HFC and HCFC refrigerant gas miscibility in industrial and commercial refrigeration, air conditioning and chiller applications. The benefits to be realized over traditional POE-based formulations include:
Available as: SRO- 6, SRO- 9, SRO-16
