Along with finding solutions to unique lubrication problems, Summit's research staff is constantly evaluating new synthetic-base stocks and additives to provide its customers with the best lubricants technically available. Since Summit Industrial Products is not basic in any particular base-fluid, it is free to choose among the various fluids to formulate the best lubricant for each application. Summit's commitment to an ongoing research and development program keeps its products on the leading edge of lubrication technology.

Summit is located in Tyler, TX approximately 90 miles east of Dallas and 90 miles west of Shreveport, LA.

Summit has trained lubrication specialists who are available to provide you with assistance in solving both ordinary and unique lubrication problems. These same lubrication specialists are also available for educational seminars and training programs on the proper use and application of synthetic lubricants.

Summit's commitment to service also continues after the sale. Customers may take advantage of a specially developed oil analysis program designed to give a complete overall view of the physical and chemical characteristics of the lubricant in use. This analysis allows the customer to detect any significant lubricant deterioration as well as discover machinery problems before they become serious and result in expensive repairs.

Summit's manufacturing facilities and warehouse are located in Tyler, Texas. This central location facilitates a prompt, economical shipment to customers and distributors throughout the United States. Raw materials are purchased in bulk from major chemical suppliers and large product storage capability allows most orders to be shipped within 24 hours.

To insure the product's integrity, stringent quality controls are used throughout the manufacturing operation. This is evidenced by our obtaining the ISO 9002 certification. All incoming raw materials are inspected and quality control checks are made during all phases of the manufacturing process. Before shipment, all finished products are tested and the container coded to match the retained sample stored in the laboratory. This reference sample allows precise comparison and detection of alterations in the lubricant's formulation.

History

Since our beginning in 1982, Summit has been working to solve the problems presented to industry by developing innovative products.  We started with a basic line of synthetic lubricants for air compressors.  Through the years we have listened to our customers' needs and expanded our product lines to include a complete line of synthetic, synthetic blend and specialty petroleum lubricants.  

In 1996, Summit became a member of The Klüber Group. This opened additional markets for our products and provided technological support to increase our capabilities in research and development.  We are excited about the future and pledge to continue the quest of providing innovative quality products and outstanding service to our customers.
